David Slifka is part of the wave of individuals who became civically engaged in the wake of the 2016 election, with a particular focus on pro-democracy reforms. He began his career as an investor for non-profit institutions, including the Yale University endowment and the YMCA Retirement Fund.
More recently, David is the founder of Bluem Ventures, an accelerator for innovative organizing tools and techniques, and co-author of the Democracy Donors guide for newcomers to learn about political giving.
David has extensive board experience, including serving for eight years as board chair of Yale Hillel and on the boards of Indivisible and other young political organizations. David holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Wharton.
